Gaza Municipality Participates in a Dialogue on Promoting Social Cohesion and the Role of Youth

The Mayor of Gaza, Dr. Yehya Sarraj, along with Municipal Council member Dr. Ali Al-Habil, participated in a dialogue organized by the Dr. Haider Abdul Shafi Center for Culture and Development, titled "The Role of Gaza Municipality in Promoting Social Cohesion," as part of the Youth Role in Maintaining Social Cohesion project.

The meeting was held at the main headquarters of Gaza Municipality in Palestine Square, alongside youth from the Naseej Network, who had received training on dialogue and conflict resolution.

Participants discussed their concerns and questions openly and thoughtfully, focusing on the municipality’s role in social interventions to resolve disputes and strengthen community cohesion. They also emphasized the importance of enhancing partnerships with civil society organizations, particularly youth, to support efforts in promoting social cohesion and community engagement.

The meeting included youth interventions that reflected awareness and a genuine willingness to contribute actively to reinforcing social cohesion within the community.
