بلدية غزة تنفذ تدخلا إسعافيا للتخفيف من أزمة طفح الصرف الصحي في شارع الرشيد

نفذت بلدية غزة تدخلًا إسعافيًا وطوارئ للتخفيف من أزمة طفح وتجمع مياه الصرف الصحي في محطة الصرف الصحي رقم (2) الواقعة في شارع الرشيد، وذلك في إطار جهودها للحد من تفاقم الأزمة خلال موسم الأمطار، رغم قلة الإمكانيات والدمار الكبير الذي طال البنية التحتية خلال حرب الإبادة.
وأوضحت البلدية أن المحطة تخدم منطقة الرمال الشمالي، مشيرةً إلى أن طواقمها نفذت تدخلا ميدانيا عاجلا شمل الكشف عن مدخل المحطة، وتنظيف المناهل العميقة، وشفط المياه المتراكمة داخل المحطة وخارجها، إلى جانب تسليك خط الطوارئ وتصريف المياه العادمة المتجمعة في المكان، في محاولة للتخفيف من حدة طفح مياه الصرف الصحي.
وبيّنت بلدية غزة أن الاحتلال الإسرائيلي ألحق دمارًا واسعًا بالبنية التحتية خلال حرب الإبادة، حيث دُمّر نحو 212 ألف متر طولي من شبكات الصرف الصحي و8 محطات صرف صحي، ما فاقم كارثةً صحيةً وبيئيةً خطيرةً تعيشها المدينة، خاصةً خلال فصل الشتاء.
وجددت بلدية غزة مناشدتها للمنظمات الدولية بضرورة الإسراع في توفير الاحتياجات الطارئة للبلدية، لا سيما المواسير والآليات والمعدات اللازمة لإعادة تأهيل مرافق الصرف الصحي، والحد من المخاطر الصحية والبيئية التي تهدد حياة المواطنين.

Gaza Municipality Carries Out Emergency Intervention to Mitigate Sewage Overflow on Al-Rashid Street
Gaza Municipality carried out an emergency intervention to mitigate sewage overflow and wastewater accumulation at Sewage Pumping Station No. (2) located on Al-Rashid Street. This intervention comes as part of ongoing efforts to reduce the impact of sewage flooding during the rainy season, despite limited resources and extensive damage to infrastructure caused by the war of genocide.
The Municipality explained that the station serves the Northern Rimal area, noting that municipal crews implemented urgent field measures. These included uncovering the station entrance, cleaning deep manholes, pumping out accumulated wastewater inside and outside the station, unblocking the emergency line, and discharging collected sewage from the site, in an effort to alleviate the severity of the sewage overflow crisis.
Gaza Municipality stated that the Israeli occupation inflicted widespread damage on infrastructure during the war of genocide, including the destruction of approximately 212,000 linear meters of sewage networks and 8 sewage pumping stations, exacerbating a serious public health and environmental crisis across the city, particularly during the winter season.
The Municipality renewed its appeal to international organizations to urgently provide emergency support, particularly pipes, machinery, and equipment required to rehabilitate sewage facilities, and to reduce the health and environmental risks threatening the lives of citizens.
