Gaza Municipality Calls for Support to Confront Winter Storms

With very limited resources, Gaza Municipality crews continue their efforts to address the impacts of the current winter storm affecting the city, despite the severe shortage of machinery, fuel, and equipment, as well as the unprecedented destruction of infrastructure.

As soon as rainfall began, municipal teams were deployed to areas prone to water accumulation across the city to prevent streets and shelters from flooding. However, due to limited capacities and extensive infrastructure damage, several water pools formed in different locations, and the municipality is working to address them.

The municipality appeals to international institutions to provide urgent support and essential resources to mitigate the humanitarian crises the city is facing.
