جهّزت بلدية غزة مكاناً لفرز النفايات في محطة المعالجة في حي الشيخ عجلين جنوب المدينة، بهدف التقليل من كمية النفايات التي تتكدس في قلب المدينة، والاستفادة من مكوّنات النفايات العضوية في إنتاج السماد، والحد من القوارض الضارة من خلال فرز النفايات.
وأوضحت البلدية أن المكان خُصّص بهدف جمع النفايات المُفرزة من المصدر والاستفادة منها. وفي سبيل ذلك قامت البلدية بتهيئة المكان استعدادًا لاستقبال النفايات المُفرزة.
وتفقّد رئيس بلدية غزة د. يحيى السراج المكان برفقة نائب رئيس البلدية تامر الريس، وعضوي المجلس البلدي مصطفى قزعاط و م. لؤي عياد، والمدير التنفيذي لمجلس الخدمات المشترك م. عبد الرحيم أبو القمبز، ومدير عام التخطيط والاستثمار م. ماهر سالم، ومدير عام الصحة والبيئة م. محمد حمادة، وعدد من مديري الدوائر في البلدية. وأكد أن هذه الجهود تهدف إلى التقليل من كارثة تكدس النفايات، والحد من آفة انتشار الحشرات والقوارض الضارة.

Gaza Municipality Prepares a Facility for Solid Waste Sorting at the Treatment Station
Gaza Municipality has prepared a facility for solid waste sorting at the treatment station in Sheikh Ajleen neighborhood in the south of the city, with the goal of reducing the quantity of solid waste that accumulates in the heart of the city, benefiting from organic waste components in producing compost, and limiting harmful rodents through waste sorting.
The Municipality clarified that the facility was designated to collect sorted solid waste from the source and benefit from it. To this end, the Municipality prepared the facility in preparation for receiving sorted solid waste.
Gaza Municipality President Dr. Yahya Al-Sarraj inspected the facility accompanied by Deputy Mayor Tamer Al-Rais, Municipal Council members Mustafa Qaz'at and Eng. Louay Ayed, Executive Director of the Joint Services Council Eng. Abdel-Rahim Abu Al-Qumbuz, Director General of Planning and Investment Eng. Maher Salem, Director General of Health and Environment Eng. Muhammad Hamada, and a number of department directors in the Municipality. He stressed that these efforts aim to reduce the disaster of solid waste accumulation and limit the scourge of the spread of insects and harmful rodents.
