مع بدء تأثير المنخفض الجوي على مدينة غزة، تتصاعد حدة التحديات الإنسانية والخدمية، في ظل واقع هش تعيشه المدينة نتيجة الدمار الواسع الذي طال البنية التحتية، ما يضع طواقم بلدية غزة أمام مسؤوليات مضاعفة للتعامل مع تداعيات الحالة الجوية.
تشهد المدينة ظروفًا ميدانية معقدة، إذ تواجه العديد من المناطق، خاصة المنخفضة ومحيط مخيمات الإيواء، خطر تجمع مياه الأمطار بشكل كبير نتيجة الأضرار الجسيمة التي لحقت بشبكتي الصرف الصحي وتصريف مياه الأمطار خلال حرب الإبادة. وتتزايد المخاوف من حدوث حالات غرق في الشوارع المنحدرة والتجمعات السكنية المؤقتة، في ظل ضعف قدرة الشبكات القائمة على استيعاب كميات المياه المتدفقة.
ورغم التحديات الكبيرة ومحدودية الموارد، تواصل طواقم بلدية غزة أداء واجبها الإنساني والخدماتي، حيث تنفذ تدخلات طارئة للتخفيف من آثار المنخفض، تشمل إنشاء سواتر ترابية حول مخيمات الإيواء، وتسوية الطرق المحيطة بها، إلى جانب تشغيل مضخات مؤقتة في النقاط الأكثر عرضة لتجمع المياه، في محاولة للحد من تفاقم الأزمة.
وفي ظل هذه الظروف، تلقت بلدية غزة عددا كبيرا من شكاوى المواطنين، خاصة من المناطق الأكثر تضررا، حيث تتزايد حالات تجمع وطفح المياه. وتعمل الطواقم المختصة على التعامل مع هذه البلاغات وفق الأولويات الميدانية، وتنفيذ تدخلاتها الطارئة ضمن الإمكانيات المتاحة، سعياً للاستجابة لأكبر قدر ممكن من الاحتياجات الملحّة.
وتحذر البلدية من أن استمرار هذه الظروف ينذر بتداعيات خطيرة على آلاف الأسر، خصوصًا في ظل تضرر عدد كبير من خيام الإيواء، ما يزيد من احتمالية فقدان المأوى مجددًا ويعمّق معاناة النازحين في ظل غياب بدائل مناسبة.
وتجدد بلدية غزة مناشدتها العاجلة إلى المجتمع الدولي والمؤسسات الإنسانية والإغاثية، بضرورة التدخل الفوري لتوفير المعدات والآليات اللازمة، والبدء بشكل عاجل في إعادة تأهيل منظومتي الصرف الصحي وتصريف مياه الأمطار، إلى جانب توفير مساكن مؤقتة (كرفانات) لتأمين الحد الأدنى من مقومات الحياة للنازحين.
كما تدعو البلدية المواطنين الكرام إلى الابتعاد عن المناطق المنخفضة ومجاري تجمع المياه، واتخاذ أقصى درجات الحيطة والحذر خلال فترة تأثير المنخفض الجوي، حفاظا على سلامتهم.

Gaza Municipality: Weather Front Deepens Humanitarian Crisis Amid Damaged Infrastructure and Limited Resources
As the weather front begins to affect the city of Gaza, humanitarian and service-related challenges are intensifying, amid a fragile reality caused by the widespread destruction of infrastructure. This situation places the teams of Gaza Municipality under multiplied responsibilities to address the consequences of the current weather conditions.
The city is experiencing complex field conditions, with many areas particularly low-lying neighborhoods and the surroundings of shelter camps facing a significant risk of rainwater accumulation due to severe damage sustained by the sewage and stormwater drainage networks during the extermination war. Concerns are mounting over potential flooding in sloped streets and temporary residential clusters, as existing networks struggle to handle the inflow of water.
Despite the considerable challenges and limited resources, Gaza Municipality teams continue to fulfill their humanitarian and service duties. They are implementing emergency interventions to mitigate the impact of the weather front, including constructing earthen barriers around shelter camps, leveling surrounding roads, and operating temporary pumps at the most vulnerable points to prevent further escalation of the crisis.
Under these conditions, the municipality has received a large number of citizen complaints, particularly from the hardest-hit areas, where cases of water pooling and overflow are increasing. Specialized teams are responding to these reports based on field priorities, carrying out emergency measures within available capacities to address as many urgent needs as possible.
The municipality warns that the continuation of these conditions poses serious risks to thousands of families, especially given the damage to a significant number of shelter tents, which increases the likelihood of losing shelter again and deepens the suffering of displaced persons in the absence of adequate alternatives.
Gaza Municipality renews its urgent appeal to the international community and humanitarian and relief organizations to intervene immediately by providing the necessary equipment and machinery, urgently initiating the rehabilitation of the sewage and stormwater drainage systems, and supplying temporary housing units (caravans) to secure the minimum living standards for the displaced.
The municipality also calls upon residents to avoid low-lying areas and water accumulation channels, exercising the utmost caution during the period of the weather front to ensure their safety.
